Ok sent the module of to BBA Reman in the UK.

£60 to test
£220 to fix
£500 to replace with a lifetime guarantee.

Well the good news is my unit was faulty. bad news is I needed a replacement.

so I bent over and brought the replacement.

More good news is that the replacement comes with the hydrolic pump...However I am a bit nerveous about removing and fitting the whole unit,. The TIS instruction seem to be simple

depress brake
unplug
Mark brake lines
remove brake lines
remove retaining screw
remove unit
transfer bracket to new unit

Installation is in reverse order.

run DIS test (inc. steering angle)

Is there anything I am missing? I know when brake bleeding (on my todo list) it is critical that no air get into to the system but I take it that this is not the case when removing the abs unit?
