the fan did an 'attempt' at a spin, it sort of wiggled back and forth but did not completely spin.... which makes sense because the fan was dead! I only figured out the sensor was bad after i unplugged it and tested it with the new fan... if you unplug the sensor, the fan will run nonstop. My old fan did not spin and stayed completely dead when the sensor was unplugged, but the new fan spun right up to speed. conclusion: bad sensor and a bad fan I assume that without input from the heat sensor, the fan won't run... I am not sure, but the results i got point towards that idea.
