Hmm so it might be better for me to send it back and get a new part shipped from the states for less. It was really the lifetime warranty(even though we know what that means) but a quick search show price from 350-450 shipped to the UK which is still less than the £600(inc VAT ) I paid for the refurbed unit.

Hmm I need to bleed the brakes anyway so I might just bite the bullet and change both out. I have a pressure bleeder so hopefully that will help and I know I have to use GT1 to electronically bleed the unit.

I also thought I could just take the ECU off but there is a warranty seal on the unit I received from BBA so I will void the warranty. if I do separate them.
