Question X5 M62 Rattle when warm after timing chain replacement

Hi Guys,

I just finished replacing the timing chain, guides and tensioner on my M62 after discovering the plastic on Middle U shaped guide was completely gone.

Everything was done according to BMW's guide and I had the special alignment tools for the camshafts and the vanos and I went through the effort of cleaning every part until spotless, I even removed the lower sump pan and oil pickup to clean out all the broken plastic debris from the broken guide.

The car started fine and drives fine but once it warms up fully it makes a rattle at 2000rpm-2500rpm any higher or lower and there is no noise which is quite puzzling.

It appears that once the engine oil has heated right up and thinned out that it makes the noise.

I was wondering at what RPM does the Vanos engage? as I was thinking it might be possible that when I replaced the chain I disturbed a seal of some sort or another theory I wad was the tensioner as it looks like it is driven by oil pressure.
