I'm not sure about that. Every module has unique hardware and software numbers. In revisions of any module, hardware may stay unchanged, but if software changes then the module will be given a new part number from BMW. Since the US and Euro models share the same part number, I would argue that they are the exact same coding (unless otherwise dictated by the car's ZCS). But the ZCS has nothing about when the EHC2 module does what.

The module can't be flashed in Winkfp. The only modules on an E53 that can be flashed are engine, trans, ABS, transfer case, and vanos. Navigation can be updated via update CD. That's it.

The only way this can be done in my opinion is via the trace file using NCS Expert. Otherwise, in INPA, the activate/modes screen has lots of different modes that I've never tried. I'm not sure what any of them do but one or two. Does someone want to experiment?
