Ozer - I would ertainly do an LS1 if I could find out how. Last I tried checking into this on an E53 I could find out what needs to be done so, I think I figured it was just wiser and simpler to stick with the N62.
Pierce330 - Looking at Bavarian Engine Exchange, they don't handle the N62 engine, only older ones otherwise yes I would go that route.
If I could find a source for a rebuilt that would be the way to go, if it wasn't cost prohibitive.
