I'm leaning towards selling the BSW kit and picking up yours... just sucks because I just went through the trouble of installing it "correctly" after seeing how the PO installed it. Though he followed instructions from BSW I don't like their installation method of duct tape and zip ties. No thanks.
The main problem I'm having is isolating certain frequencies from the BSW setup as it handles some frequencies excellently and others like total @$$.
There seems to be no way to tune it using the DSP, amp, and LOC that maintains the frequencies I want and ditches the ones I don't from reaching the sub.
I've run a JL12W0v2 and been very happy with it... but that was running a full aftermarket setup. I am trying to avoid going full aftermarket on the X5 as ripping out the DSP system would suck royally.
How were you running your setup? Full aftermarket? Base system? DSP? Sorry just trying to get an accurate expectation of SQ output. SPL is nice, but I prefer SQ. As an ex-installer, I could build my own box and all that jazz... but I don't have the time I used to with the little one here.
EDIT: NM, looked up those models and they are both head units. Yeah sub output and head unit Xovers makes tuning MUCH easier. I am not familiar with the DSP system and how it manipulates the signal that the LOC is using and then how to further manipulate it without affecting the other speakers. Ugh.
