Just want to clear 1 fact: to "test drive" your DDE in another car, Jared must have your CAS and key, or he must have a pretty decent and expensive equipment to change the immobilizer codes, which in this case is a 128-bit encryption between DDE and CAS. As a matter of fact, if he had even connected it to a car the first time he would have figured out the reflash went south and avoid the complications.
