I am guessing the issue has to do with the mileage. The OP did not state the exact mileage, however, the statement "this went down about 1 week after i had a "vehicle check" performed at 59.8k at the same dealership." would lead me to believe the vehicle is slightly over the 60k mileage mark.

Most people drive more than 200 miles per week.

But like anything, lets not guess, how about facts.

Also speak with the Service Manager and see if BMW will ever offer full or partial coverage when just beyond the time or mileage on a warranty extension. It is done with new car warranty coverage quite often.
