I couldn't carry nearly the same stuff with a pickup truck. The inside is filled with tools. Pickups don't really have a ton of utility for carrying a diverse set of tools. The beauty of a 2nd hand 14 yr old car is i don't feel bad at all about pushing the limits. I do take precautions such as laying out carpet scraps inside or pad the roof with foam. A decent pickup would also have been twice the price I paid for my x5.
