The only thing I miss is not being able to scroll through my music library via the steering wheel controls, but this isn't a biggie really. I do notice that if I have my power cord plugged in, I cannot listen to music via the aux cable, as there's an annoying buzz that comes through the stereo. Not a biggie either, as I only listen to my iPhone music library when I can't receive a radio signal (for about 1 hour of my usual trip), then I just listen to the radio or CD's and plug the iPhone back in for charging.
Check out this link, I have had the Mediabridge for several years and each iteration that preceded it. All worked great with existing controls. With the Mediabridge you can connect your iPhone by bluetooth or with aux cable. You could also add on the Sirius module for that dead spot as an alternative.
