In the radio's configuration menu it is possible to change the region. This enables and disables some functions that may or may not be typically available in the market. For example RDS PTY function is one of them.

For a while I'm in Canada and bought some cars here. I have been trying to find an aftermarket radio with RDS for my other car with poor results. None of the decent radios have RDS available. I have found only one or two models and those both were not good...
