This is the right one to use on our boot bands as we have been saying on the above posts. It has the right "anvil" to stop the humping of the pinch. It will lock the boots bands correctly. Drop the part number into a browser and buy it.
Do not try the pliers method as the bands will not hold as intended. Can you get away with it, sure. How long? Who knows. Do it right or don't post the whines.
