If you take the OFH out to do the gasket, you basically have all the parts removed to get to the CCV - I would do it, plus the hoses (cold weather version) and do the upgraded dipstick tube at the same time
Also, belts/tensioners/pulleys are right there, as well as cooling system/fan clutch - depending on your mileage and age of the parts you may want to look into them - if those parts are original on your '05 - I would be replacing all, as I am more worried about age of parts in a cold climate/salt belt state than the mileage on the car.
Check your PS hoses for leaks as well (bottom of reservoir)
