Check your warranty. Not all warranties are created equal even from the same company. If it is not clear what you want to do is OK then the only sure way to know if the warranty provider will OK or reject repairs that can be associated with your changes is to contact the warranty provider and ask. I suspect you will be unable to a clear cut documented answer but the only input that is pertinent is that of your warranty provider.
