Hello folks,

I got a 2007 X3 stick with sport package and 106K miles on it that has been having HD radio problems for the past four years (right after exiting the factory warranty).

Regular radio works fine, but after I switch to HD radio (e.g. press&hold the HD button for a second or two), it starts cutting in and out. It is like that until I turn off the HD radio and then regular radio works fine again.

Anyone with a structured approach on how to diagnose this?
