Damn it I seem to be lucky /sarcasm.
I was driving back home and I get the low oil light. Pull over and sure enough there's freaking oil sputtering everywhere from the bottom. I was closeby to a shop so I stopped there. they told me it's probably the alternator bracket seal. They couldn't quite locate the source of the leak but when the engine is running it starts spilling oil from the driver side of the engine. Fml. So they gave me a $1400 quote/ approx 10-11 hrs of labor which I had no choice but to agree as far is not really driveable in its state. Any chance these two issues are related?
