There was a guy on eBay from Romania that was selling a DVD with a bunch of software and a scan head for pretty cheap but that was years ago when I got mine. I haven't looked on there for a while.
Also there was a guy on this forum that explained how to code that out but I'm not on this site much anymore and I don't remember was his user name was. Hopefully some folks will chime in here and help you out
