With these cars, if one is reluctant to keep it or not, my advice will be get rid of it. If one needs transportation and budget is a factor BMW is not for them(at least not a modern one).
For me, every $1000 (this is $1 in boat dollars, or BMW dollars ) is justified. Never had any regrets, ever.
