i have replaced entire ccv system and i can hear and feel engine runs so much smoother, there was a small ammount of that yellow gunk as you mentioned, now everything is fine....and mechanics also have found that lower knee hose on my air intake hose is in catastrophic condition so i ordered new immediately and waiting for it
