I'm not sure what the access is on your E70, but the repair action should be the same with minor differences for gaining access to the area.

On the E46, you have to pull the air box for the cabin air filter so there is room for the valve cover to be taken out -- you cannot lift the cover far enough from the head without pulling the air box. I have not done the job on my E53, but I see no reason for it to be very much different.

You will want to buy a set of grommets (15, I think) to put on the screws that hold the cover down.

Use www.realoem.com to find your car. The gasket is in the section for the engine, and the grommets are on the same page as the gasket kit. This is a part that I would go ahead and buy at the dealership. It's not crazy expensive.
