Yes, the tires are toast. they are my summer wheels, the photo was taken with the brake assembly placed in the wheel, and then using a set of spare wheel bolts, I torqued it all down to see how much clearance I had. those keen observers will also note the outboard pad is not installed !
I want to clean and powdercoat the calipers, and clean up the rest of the knuckle bits too. This was as test fit, and so far all looks like its going to be a good addition
I'm planning to install some new tires this spring. still not certain what I should opt for, suggestions welcome!
I have 18" winter wheels as well and don't think my wife would understand if I suddenly needed two new sets of wheels!
(that and I have a jeep too, so me and the tire shops are friends!
