I would walk into either engines knowing what the failure points are.....and whether it's something you're okay with spending with a Indy if you can't / don't want to tackle it.

VSS, coolant pipe, alt. bracket gasket, timing cover gasket...etc.

They all have their issues. Just a matter of which one you prefer ;-)
