Thanks guys! That's the kind of info I was hoping for. I obviously want to find a X5 that I won't immediately be dumping a bunch of money into right after purchase, so knowing what to watch for up front is helpful. I like the body style of my 2002 3.0i, so was hoping to stick with that same model year... give or take so sounds like the M62 is the direction I'm heading.
