it has a picture in which the 5 X's are circled. once you twist all 5, you can split the cluster open.
the first thing i did before i started was to slip a flat head screwdriver into the top two latches, so that they stayed open at all times.
one of the things that i learned is that the x's are hard to twist and might even break when you try too hard. also, whne you have one open, and are trying to get another one open, the first x will lock again. so becareful of this.
someone had pointed out earlier that as you get each X open, try to split the case near that x, so that it will get wedged into that open position. it took me a long time to do it. i had to put it down for an hour because i was getting frustrated with it, and when i came back, it took ~10 minutes.
so take a break, read the paper and then come back to it, but patience is the key with this DIY
