I like the asphericals too, and may switch to those in the future... but haven't had any problems with properly adjusted stockers. Those little round convex mirrors... can't stand em. Took both off the X as soon as I got it home from California.

I think your mirror is having issues OP if you can see your handles when adjusted all the way out. I'll check but I don't think I can see any of the truck if I adjust them all the way out. You may want to take a peek in there to see what's going on.
