For now I'm stuck.

I was looking for something maybe slightly different than what I have currently as far as handguns - although I am considering another 1911 in 9mm too since I just love the timeless look of the 1911:
-Taurus 605SS (.357 Mag 5-shot, 3" barrel)
-Taurus PT1911SS (.45ACP, stainless)
-Beretta Model 102 (This is my classic, .22LR, 6" barrel, Polished blued finish) - pending ownership as its at my wifes grandfathers until my newest PPP is ready for pickup

I'd need to get a PPP but since my Beretta requires one, I may as well apply for 2 at the same time, and purchase a new gun at the same time.

Then TiAg got to talking about the Walthers, and I saw my local store on Armslist selling the following (I'm sure he can get others just noting what he has in stock)

-Diamondback DB9-FS Black - $350 (I'm not a huge fan of the large grip/magazine area on this gun, although the warranty is great and the dealer says that they shoot awesome)
-Walther PPQ-M2 9mm - $599
-Walther PK-.380 - $399 (large difference from PPQ price-wise, the PK looks real nice!)
-Rock Island 1911A1 9mm - $525 - again I really like 1911's so I would consider another one in 9mm
-Taurus JUDGE - $500 - Always wanted one of these, like a hand cannon, I don't care if this would be my only gun taking the ammo, it shoots friggin .410 shells
-Sig Sauer SP2022 9mm - $500
-Cold Gold Cup Trophy 1911 in .22LR - $400 - again, I like 1911's and I have a ton of .22LR and 2 other guns shooting it so I would consider it for sure for the price

Or I could just apply for one PPP for the Beretta, and buy myself another rifle, I looked at the S&W M&P 15-22 AR-style rifle shooting .22, could be had for $400 out the door all day. So I'd probably lean towards one of the 3 handguns listed above around the $400 range (Walther PK-380, Colt 1911 .22). I also love Glocks and would probably just save for one in the future.

He also has a H&K VP9/LE which I am lusting and drooling over, but the price point just isn't in the cards right now, my dog is going through some health issues which we have to pay for first.
Sorry to hear about your pup! I hope he pulls through ok.

Here's my 2 cents on your list (not that you asked ).

I know you already have a Taurus, but I'd skip that brand. Their quality is hit and miss. Also, if you weren't aware, they have a class action settlement. I'm not sure if yours is caught up in it. Plus, I've seen reports of them throwing up their hands on defective revolvers and just s telling their customers "sorry, it can't be fixed". With all that going against them, I'd avoid it.

If you want a 1911, get it in .45ACP. There's something weird about a 1911 in any other caliber. I'm like you - I love the 1911. John Browning's finest work...I've got two of 'em. An older Kimber (before their quality went downhill) and a stainless Sig GSR. They're my favorites to shoot.

Rock Island makes a pretty good entry level 1911, like you mentioned. I'd also look at Springfield Armory. The Range Officer (RO) model has some nice upgrades for a reasonable price. Ruger also makes a nice stainless 1911 for about $700, which is a pretty good price for a quality gun.

And if you're interested in a Sig, take a look at the P320. It's their new striker fired pistol and should be about the same price as the 2022.
