We bought one in descent shape and it still ate $14k in the first single year of ownership. I doubt we could get $12k if we wanted to sell it.

LOL I don't think anyone was holding it against you...
We were just picking it apart because the ad looked shady, the car IS shady, and the dealership turned out to be shady. We are BMW enthusiasts... if it was a near perfect car we wouldn't be picking it apart but saying how good of a deal it was.
