You have to by original philips! There will be manual how to connect! There is a little box like relay may be! U have to connect one wire with headlights let the system knows when u switch on headlights they go off! If u need I could make pictures!
I do not know about usa but here it is forbidden day lights together with headlights! U can use it together but when u r passing here annual service they have to work seperately!
