Ditto about doing OBC Test 13 (first)...that way you can find out if the gong is actually dead...or if you have another issue.

BMW OBC Test #13 "GONG?" This is a test of the OBC/Check Control System's gong/chime/beep sounds:

1. You will hear the HOUR MEMO signal first which is a succession of 3 beeps.
2. Second you will hear the ICE WARNING/OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE (gong).
3. Third sound is the speed LIMIT MPH warning and LOW FUEL warning (gong).
4. Fourth is the sound you hear for all other warnings from the Check Control System like the LOW COOLANT, STOP ENGINE PRESSURE, etc.
