BTW, you can easily check what VIN is coded into the cluster (at least the last 7 digits) by doing OBC TEST 1 (you don't even have to UNLOCK the cluster to do TEST 1):
  1. turn the ignition to position 1
  2. press and hold the right cluster button until TEST 01 appears
  3. press the right cluster button
The 1st screen of OBC TEST 1 is the VIN that is coded into the cluster. You should see "VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER=FGSTNR:_ _ _ _ _ _ _" (the 7 empty spaces should be the last 7 digits of your car's VIN...if it doesn't match your car's VIN...then it doesn't match the LCM...which means they aren't communicating).

As far as the lights not working...you probably blew a bulb. There are 5 incandescent bulbs in the cluster that illuminate certain parts of it.
Thanks Q, it's was the lamps for the cluster , I changed the 5 lamps , All is good now, just goes to show either ask if You know what Your doing or leave it ALONE.
