I have removed driver panel before, so I knew what to expect with center clip. But this was a TOTAL JOKE! I was using HUGE force, pulling/twisting/etc. I even resorted to a breaker bar I worked in there to crow it off......STILL would not give!!! I finally got enough leverage on it to pop it off and the plastic clip part broke in pieces of course! At least I didn't damage the vapor barrier! Anyway, just wanted to report I got shade off. Used a little screwdriver to coax it off from the side of it as I held clip up Time to dive in to the door handle carrier!
Did you try lifting the panel upward and rocking to disengage the plastic center clip? Our panels are not meant to be removed straight-out.
