That seemed to work for me with the stuck CD-RW in my MK4 this morning - I was fair carpping myself this morning as my nav is still under warranty - couldn't take the top off as it has the anti-tamper labels.

Persevere with it - took many attempts until the disk popped out of mine - but one swift movement removed it from the drive and frisbee'd it into the nearest bin!
