X5 transmission slipping

Hi All,

About a year ago, I took my 02 X5 4.6is off the road because of excessive slipping from the transmission and a very expensive repair estimate to have it fixed. I recently bought a 4.6is with a blown motor hoping to take its transmission but found out the tranny has over 300,000kms on it so most likely needs a rebuild as well (I will be taking the other parts I need and parting it out on ebay to recoup what I spent.)

It got me looking though and I have since found a shop that will rebuild it for a reasonable price so it will be going in soon to get repaired.

The question I had is that I seem to remember some sort of a sensor to replace (along with the rear main seal) in a "while you're in there" manner and can't seem to find the thread

Can someone tell me what part that is and any other parts I should change at the same time?

Thanks
DF
