BTW, when you remove the nav screen...you remove the component that was designed to display the systems that sends data to it. The Nav monitor (or MID in BMWs without nav) is the multi-informational display for the audio/clock/OBC/DSP/phone systems. When you remove it (the nav monitor or MID)...you no longer have a way to start/stop/set/reset/adjust the components that are connected to it...those component use the MID or NAV monitor to communicate with you.
