Ordered the parts for front suspension overhaul. The only fail is the bushings in the thrust arms/tension struts, but on inspection, and reaching 150k miles, I decided to do the full 10 part replacement kit from FCPEuro, using Meyle HD parts: tension struts [sometimes called thrust arms], lower control arms, sway bar links, tie rod assemblies [inner and outer, with replacement boots]. I considered, but held off, doing the struts; figure I'll do them in the Fall when I revisit the rear suspension and have decided whether to move up to the Bilstein HD B6/4600 equipment. I'm doing the front sway bar bushings while I'm in there, though the sway bar and bushings appear in good condition. I have prepared an outline from the various instructions and videos, but am cogitating on what order to follow in deconstructing and reassembling each side. I have the tools assembled, and will give the cheap Harbor Freight 3/4" ball joint tool a try. Alignment and Report to follow when done!
