Remove the the air filter and the rubber intake line, you will have a much better view. You will be able to inspect transmission lines, part of the crankcase pressure release valve. I'm still betting on the oil housing filter gasket. You should change it anyway along with the PCV if it hasn't been done recently. It requires removing the alternator and quite a bit of cursing for the valve.
