That is actually a thought that had crossed my mind... It ended up being a random turn of events that put the missing bolts UNDER the drain lid I was using... Obviously, I checked in the drain pan, but moving it around on the floor to inspect where the pan was didn't leave any bolt in its wake... It was only when I went to filter the fluid for reuse that the missing bolts showed themselves... Not sure how or why they ended up there... Don't care! The good part is that I found them and don't have to wait for new ones to arrive...

On to the trans filling!!
