it does involve baking, the hardest part is getting the headlights out, you need to take off sideskirt and front bumper to get the fender off, so you can then get the headlight out.

1 side is able to be removed from removing the wheel and dropping it through the wheel well after removing the fender liner, the other side is blocked by oil hoses though.

you should just use the 3m stuff and then use some UV resistant clear.
