X5 E53 Oil pan gasket replacement

Hi guys, Just quoted a customer for this job and found out good information. The factory labor time for doing the X5 Oil pan gasket is 10.2 hours. Not an fun job. The AWD makes it a nightmare, RWD cars are much easier. The subframe must be taken down to remove the front diff which bolts to the side of the block/pan therefore engine will need to be suspended. The axles need to be removed, power steering pump moved yada yada yada. The job is labor intensive but the parts cost is minimal. Just was quoted under $100 for the oil pan gasket, diff gasket, oil dipstick tube o ring, axle carrier seal, new axle nuts, and another bit or two, from the local dealer. Keep in mind that the 10.2 hours is going to be by a trained BMW tech that probably has done this many times at $125 hr. (hence quotes from dealers of $1800) I figure for the first timer its going to take 14 trying to figure out how it all comes apart and back together. I quoted a customer $1,124 for the job, including a 7 quart full syn oil change.($99)
