Yeah, I had to learn all that when it came time to change fluids. With all the talk of tranny failures on BMW's I dug long and hard to find out what trannys I had and to be sure I was putting in the right stuff lol!

I think we only ever officially got the diesels here in NZ, although I understand that there were a few V8s bought in on special order. I do see a few 3.0i models about (as well as tons of early 4.4i models) but most of them seem to imported as used vehicles, either from Australia or Japan. Makes the 3.0i a bit of a rarity in these parts...
4.8iS Le Mans_NZ on here has the only 4.8iS I know of in NZ, although I'm sure there are probably a few about the place.. Never seen or heard of a 4.6iS here though.
