Yes - You will get the wrong frequency signal to the bottom speakers. Those mid-bass drivers are designed to fill out the sound of the X5. You should just check out the signal feed from the amp on those channels. The amp is at the back of the vehicle. In addition if the channels are bad on the amp then the non DSP amp (used condition)is fairly inexpensive acquiring one from Ebay or a local bone yard.
