Man, I jsut hate it when someone bites the bullet, takes the car to "the experts" and they screw em for GBP 1200 (guess) and still a problem...

I cant hear 'whining'. How about a VERY detailed description of the sound, how it varies- engine speed, different gears, road speed...worse in a narrow road around metal buildings, etc, etc
