Impact is definitely the way to go. In some cases some heat may have to be applied but using the break away letting it soak over night and the impact the next day usually gets the job done. BMW uses the "Mother of Jesus" Torque on bolts and they are always tuff to get off the first time. Try the crank bolt one (another high torqued bolt of a monster)
