Wait a minute now I was not suggesting that you have to remove the dash to get the console out. My dash was removed to access the evaporator. You do have to remove the console to get the dash and related components out to access the evaporator. Since the console had to come out then this would be the best time to change over the wood rather than take it out a second time to change over the wood.
