I think we may have a break through as far as exhaust noise and misfires. Sadly, replacing MAF, spark plugs, ignition coils haven't solved my problem of vibration, low RPMs, some hesitation and strange rhythmic sound out of exhaust.

Put truck on the hoist and took a temperature gun to measure temp of cats, since misfires were only taking place on passenger side bank. My buddy
( mechanic ) thought something was up with the oxygen sensors or cats. Turns out the passenger side cat was measuring 300 degree hotter than the drivers side. He says it is plugged and needs replacing.

Are there any ways to save money with this repair? After market cats? Punch out cat and run straight pipe..lol?

Thoughts?
