Okay for additional clarity. I went ahead and looked up the part number for my BMW X5 4.6is and the tensioner that they show by part number: 11317531813 is the newer revised version because when you click on the part number information icon in BMWFans it shows the old discontinued tensioner that was produced from December 91 to June 2003. This part number was 11311736023

Found this on bimmerforum, seems that the difference is the spring. Otherwise i think the parts looks the same 😄
