I understand snow tires wont handle as good. This guy was saying that tires with lower speed rating have relatively weaker side wall. I am not sure if he knew what he was talking about but definitely got me confused.
they do have performance winter tires for dry winter weather but those dont well on snow and ice. Blizzak LM-80 is an example
