Face it, every BMW will have iDrive. Even their 1-series has iDrive if you order NAV.
I figured, that they may do what they do with the 1-series and 3-series....is make iDrive part of the NAV system. If you don't order NAV, then no iDrive.
However, for those of you who have Navigation system, just think the iDrive knob is a "super" right knob on the Nav system. For those who don't have Navigation, the Nav monitor has two knob...the left knob is the radio on/off/volume knob and the right knob, controls the GUI and Nav system.
iDrive was really quite easy to master for us people in the computer age. If you can log on to xoutpost.com, then you can use iDrive.
My only concern is that if they make the X5 bigger and longer, I hope it doesn't affect its legendary handling ability.
BMW also needs to release a turbodiesel version of the X5 for the U.S.
