Didn't vote out of fear, no, I voted my conscience. Stein. Texas was going to go Trump anyway. Was going to vote Johnson until he started demonstrating complete ineptitude.
I haven't watched GB in a long time... he was (maybe is) one of those who preys on fears. He's this generation's Rush. Let me know how the book is, maybe I'll give it a read.
Trump, Hillary, etc... a politician is a politician really. Unfortunately. Look at Trump so far. Not even in office yet but looks like he's backing down on many of the positions he took during the campaign. Obama did the same thing. The thing with our government now is that they don't participate in the same realities as even the wealthy anymore, let alone the average American. They float above the rest of the populace in an insulated bubble. It's gotten really unfortunate with the corruption of the electoral process with corporate money since Citizen's United (what a name huh?). Final totals are all over the map but for the presidential race I've seen from ~$900,000,000 all the way to $2,100,000,000 in spending. There's more wrong than just the money and lobbying, but it's probably the root source of most issues.
Unfortunately I don't see anything changing anytime soon as long as there is no campaign reform and we are force-fed the 2 party system.
